San Diego Flute Guild's Spring Festival Flute Choir!
We hope everyone will participate in all the wonderful activities planned for Spring Festival, and that includes joining all your friends to perform in the Flute Choir! The choir rehearses together during one of the sessions at the Spring Festival (TBA), then performs at the end of the day.
Our talented Joan Knoernschild, a lifelong musician and conductor, will be directing the choir. Joan was the music director at Greenfield Middle School for many years, and currently performs/assistant conducts/arranges for Avanti Flute Choir.
Some of the exciting choices for this year’s performance include “Chinese New Year” by David Warin Solomons, “Chorando (Se Foi Lambada),” arranged by Austin Ralphson, “Spanish Polonaise for Flute Choir” by Grant Horsely, “St. Louis Blues” arranged by Carolyn Goates, and more!
We welcome all flutes and piccolos, altos, and basses to participate. And so you can familiarize yourself with the music if you wish, we’ve arranged to send you the parts in advance if you wish to practice them!
