Spring 2025 Call for Presenter Proposals

The San Diego Flute Guild will be accepting proposals for workshops, recitals, clinics, and other presentations for the 2025 Spring Festival to be held TBA at the Encinitas Community Center. Additionally, we welcome proposals for stand-alone events that can be presented throughout the season. Our goal is to enhance the festival by creating an interactive environment and representing varied musical traditions.

  • We are particularly seeking proposals for participatory workshops with topics of general interest to amateur flutists, teachers and students

  • Presentations may not exceed 50 minutes in length for the festival  

  • Please complete the proposals form, including short bio and any supporting material (registration date TBA)

Criteria

We are accepting proposals for the following types of sessions: 

  • Workshop (50 minutes) 
  • Recital (25 minutes), emphasizing cultural diversity, will be considered 
  • Flute Choir (25 minutes), emphasizing cultural diversity, will be considered 
  • Various age groups (beginners, school age, college, adult) will be considered
Presenter must cover all audiovisual needs and/or accompanist needs.
Accepted presenters and performers agree to appear at the San Diego Flute Guild Spring Festival at their own expense.

Submitting Proposals

Include an outline of the specific topic or recital program you plan to cover and the intended age group of your audience, as well as a short essay explaining the benefits of your proposal to the members of the San Diego Flute Guild.
