Submitting Your Recording:

At our March 12th rehearsal, we'll spot-check and polish our parts and then record! We'll share some recording tips and tricks in rehearsal, but here is some basic information to get you started:

  • You can record on your computer or phone - whichever has the highest quality or is newest. If you're recording on your phone, place it horizontally.
  • Stand at least 4 feet away from your recording device for the best sound quality.
  • Make sure you're well lit so we can see your face and flute.
  • When you record, start the video recording first and then start the click track so we don't miss a note of your performance!
  • Play the click track through headphones/earbuds from a different device than is recording.
  • Practice with the click track before you record.
  • Record 2 takes of each piece or movement and pick the best one to submit.
  • Record each piece or movement separately.
  • Wear a colorful or floral top, whatever you are comfortable in!
