2017 Winona Grant Holiday Flute Choir Concert

  • Sunday, December 03, 2017
  • 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Westminster Presbyterian Church

Registration

  • If you have your own privately organized Flute Choir and would like to perform at this concert, please register with this registration type.

One member of your choir, or your teacher must be a member, and it is suggested that all become members, but it is not required.

Please choose one current member to log in and register.
  • Age is not a factor. If you can comfortably play most major scales, keep a steady beat and read rhythms with relative ease, this is the group for you!
  • Age is not a factor, but the following ability requirements should be present: This choir is for students who have experience in playing at least one year, can produce a “reliable” tone, read basic rhythms, and who can play two octave scales up to 4 flats and sharps.
  • SDFG members who are teachers are invited to play a tune or two at the concert. You must be logged in to register.

Flute Choir Descriptions

NEW THIS YEAR: The SDFG Sponsored Intermediate and Advanced choirs will have two rehearsal locations to choose from, one in north county, and one in south county. We hope this makes it easier for more people to participate in the final concert.  The Dress Rehearsal and concert will merge the choirs from both locations.

When you register for this event, you’ll see 4 registration types. You can use these descriptions to help you decide which registration type to choose.

  • SDFG Sponsored Intermediate Choir:  This choir is for students who have experience in playing at least one year, can produce a “reliable” tone, read basic rhythms, and  who can play two octave scales up to 4 flats and sharps.
  • SDFG Sponsored Advanced Choir: This choir is for students who can comfortably play most major scales in two octaves, keep a steady beat and read rhythms with relative ease.
  • SDFG Sponsored Teacher Choir:  This choir is for any teacher who wishes to share their time and talent during the concert, and we encourage you to also bring your own studio’s privately organized flute choir.
  • Privately Organized Flute Choir:  This registration type is for any flute choir organized outside of the San Diego Flute Guild. Examples of this could be a group of friends from school coming together for a tune, or a teacher organizing their own studio flute choir. If you have a group - any level, any age, this is for you!

Registration Deadlines:

  • SDFG Advanced and Intermediate Flute Choirs: Friday, October 20, 2017
  • SDFG Teacher Choir: Saturday, November 4th, 2017
